Trio of new staff now in place at Zendesks new APAC Development Centre in Melbourne
Melbourne, Australia; 26 November, 2012 Zendesk, the proven cloud-based customer service software provider, today announced the appointment of its new development team.
Jason Smale has been named as the new Director of Engineering who will head up the new team, which will work closely with counterparts in San Francisco to continually evolve and improve Zendesk?s offering to meet continually changing consumer needs.
Smale?s primary responsibility will be working alongside Zendesk?s clients to improve product integration and develop new capabilities, thus enabling them to better serve their own customers.
Jason brings with him ten years of solid development experience, having most recently worked as a senior consultant at Deloitte Consulting, spending eight months on secondment in San Francisco delivering projects for VM Ware and Adobe. Previous to that he was a web developer at Deloitte Australia where he spent two years working alongside clients such as Telstra, Fosters, Myer, Synergy and ANZ. He has delivered several award winning projects including the campaign website for the TAC Everybody Hurts? TV campaign, winner of a 2010 Cannes Bronze Integrated Lion Award.
Joining Jason?s team are Likun Liu, Senior Engineer, and Stefan Vizzari, Engineer. With seven years development experience across media, finance and telecommunications, Liu joins Zendesk from REA Group where he was a senior software developer developing new web products. Prior to that he spent three years working as a senior agile consultant at ThoughtWorks, delivering a number of projects for large scale clients across Australia.
Vizzari has ten years development experience and for the past six years has worked as an independent consultant delivering web-based applications for clients including the Australian Football League (AFL), Deloitte Consulting and MediBank.
