About Veryation

Veryation is an independent software vendor building focused, reliable workflow apps for customer support teams. We design each app to do one job well, with no clutter and no learning curve.

What Recurring Tickets does

Recurring Tickets puts routine work on autopilot. Define a ticket once — subject, description, requester, assignee group, priority, type and tags — choose a schedule, and it creates that ticket automatically every time it falls due. It is built for work that happens on a cadence: preventative maintenance, compliance and audit evidence, periodic access reviews, recurring reports, and follow-ups nobody can afford to forget.

What it does well

  • Routine work is never missed. Tickets are created on schedule even when no agent is signed in, including overnight, at weekends and on holidays.

  • Flexible schedules. Daily, weekly with chosen weekdays, or monthly on a chosen day, with repeat-every-N intervals, a start date, and end conditions of never, on a date, or after a set number of occurrences.

  • Timezone accurate. Each rule runs in its own timezone and handles daylight saving correctly, so a 9am rule stays a 9am rule all year.

  • Dynamic placeholders. Insert the current date, weekday, month, year or timestamp into the subject, description or tags, so every generated ticket identifies itself rather than being indistinguishable from the last. In tags, this makes period-based filtering and Explore reporting straightforward.

  • Complete ticket templates. Set requester, assignee group, priority, type and tags so each ticket arrives ready to work.

  • Run now. Fire any rule on demand to test it or cover a one-off, without disturbing its schedule.

How it works

Recurring Tickets runs a secure scheduling service that connects to your account using OAuth and creates tickets through the Zendesk API on the cadence you define. Rules are managed from the Recurring Tickets panel in the left navigation bar of the agent workspace.

Data and privacy

The app stores only the rule definitions you create (subject, description, requester email, assignee group, priority, type, tags and schedule), your Zendesk subdomain, and the OAuth access and refresh tokens used to create tickets on your behalf. Tokens are held server side and never exposed to the browser, and requests are cryptographically verified so only genuine requests from your Zendesk account are accepted.

The app does not read, export or store your existing tickets, comments, end-user records or conversations. We do not sell, rent or share customer data, and do not use it for advertising or profiling. Data is stored in Cloudflare D1 and all traffic uses HTTPS.

Uninstalling the app or revoking the OAuth grant immediately stops all processing. To request deletion of stored data, email support@veryation.com.

Cómo instalar

  1. Click Install at the top of this page and choose the Zendesk account you want to install into.

  2. Confirm the plan and start your free trial. There is nothing to configure during installation — Recurring Tickets requires no API keys, URLs or other settings.

  3. Open your Support agent workspace and click the Recurring Tickets icon in the left navigation bar.

  4. The first time you open the app, click Connect Zendesk, then click Allow on the Zendesk authorization page that opens. This grants Recurring Tickets permission to create tickets in your account on your behalf. You only need to do this once.

  5. Click New recurring ticket to open the rule editor.

  6. Under Rule, enter a rule name. This is an internal label and is not shown to the requester.

  7. Under Ticket content, enter the subject and description used for every ticket the rule creates. Optionally set a requester email, priority, type, assignee group and tags. Use the placeholder buttons beneath these fields to insert the current date, weekday, month, year or timestamp, so each generated ticket is uniquely identifiable.

  8. Under Schedule, choose Daily, Weekly or Monthly. For weekly rules, select the weekdays to run on. For monthly rules, choose the day of the month. Then set how often the rule repeats, the time of day, and the timezone the schedule should follow.

  9. Set when the schedule starts, and whether it ends never, on a specific date, or after a set number of occurrences.

  10. Click Save recurring ticket. The rule appears in the list showing its schedule, next run time and status.

  11. To test a rule immediately, click Run now on its row — this creates a ticket straight away without affecting the schedule. Use Pause to suspend a rule without deleting it, Edit to change it, and Delete to remove it.

All settings live inside the app itself; there are no separate admin settings to configure. If you need help, email support@veryation.com.
