About this app

Turn cluttered tickets into clean, useful records

Ticket Printer gives Zendesk agents a focused way to print or save a ticket as a polished PDF—without printing the full Zendesk interface or including content the reader does not need.

Why teams use Ticket Printer

  • Create readable records for escalations, reviews, handoffs, and archives
  • Choose exactly which ticket, requester, and organization fields to include
  • Print the first, latest, all, or individually selected comments
  • Include public replies, internal notes, or both—with clear visibility labels
  • Preserve Zendesk-hosted attachment links in saved PDFs
  • Add available SLA and service metrics when Zendesk returns them
  • Use the ticket's Zendesk brand logo automatically
  • Run entirely inside Zendesk with no external account or server required
  • Start from a Customer-safe, Internal review, or Complete record profile and still adjust every selection
  • Review a live content summary before opening the print view

Built for deliberate sharing

Essential ticket fields start selected, while custom ticket fields, requester details, organization details, and available metrics remain opt-in. Filter the conversation by visibility and commenter. If no comments match, Ticket Printer explains the mismatch and prevents an incomplete printout. The source ticket is never changed.

How it works

  1. Open a saved ticket and expand Ticket Printer in the ticket sidebar.
  2. Choose the fields, requester or organization details, comments, visibility, and available metrics to include.
  3. Open the clean print view, then print it or use the browser's Save as PDF option.

Ticket Printer is free to install and use. LaPlante Management builds focused tools that help Zendesk teams work more clearly and efficiently.

Data disclosure

Ticket Printer accesses the current ticket's standard and custom fields, channel and available inbound destination details; requester name, email, phone, organization, locale, time zone, external ID, tags, verification status, and selected requester custom fields; the ticket organization's available native fields and selected organization custom fields; comments and comment authors; attachment names and Zendesk-hosted links; Side Conversations and their message histories when Zendesk returns them; available SLA or service metrics; the ticket brand's name and Zendesk-hosted logo; and, when an audit-backed option is selected, ticket audits containing timestamps, comment event identifiers, SLA target changes, and trigger or automation identifiers and titles. It uses this data only to assemble content deliberately selected by the agent for a print view or browser-generated PDF.

The app does not create or modify tickets. It does not transmit Zendesk ticket data to LaPlante Management or another external service, maintain an external database, or retain printed records. Processing and PDF generation occur in the agent's browser within the Zendesk session. Brand logos, attachment links, and generated Admin Center rule links remain within Zendesk and subject to Zendesk authentication and source-record permissions. Zendesk ticket audits expose only rules and SLA target changes that produced recorded ticket activity, so uneventful evaluations and a reliable met/breached result for every SLA instance may not appear.

Cómo instalar

Install and use Ticket Printer

No external account or additional configuration is required.

  1. Install Ticket Printer in Zendesk Support as an administrator.
  2. Assign the app to the agents or groups who should use it.
  3. Open a saved ticket and expand Ticket Printer in the ticket sidebar.
  4. Select the ticket fields, optional requester or organization details, comments, visibility, and available metrics to include. Optional development capabilities appear only when Zendesk returns the required data to the current agent.
  5. Select Open clean print view, then use the browser print dialog to print or Save as PDF.

Allow pop-ups for your Zendesk domain. Agents can include only data they can access in Zendesk. Requester and organization fields, brand logos, and SLA metrics appear only when available to the current agent and supported by the account.
