Raster

Raster is a Swiss-style Help Center theme: an oversized flush-left headline on a strict grid, an underline search field, a numbered index of topics in ruled rows, a two-column most-read list and a solid signal-red call to action. Black, white and one red. Precise, fast and timeless.

What makes it different

• Giant flush-left headline on a 12-column grid with a red square mark

• Underline search field instead of a boxed input

• Topics as a numbered index (01, 02...) in full-width ruled rows that invert to black on hover

• Most-read articles in two columns with red numerals

• Solid red call-to-action block with black button

• Zero radius, zero shadows: pure typographic hierarchy

• Fully responsive, verified without horizontal overflow at 390px on home, category, section, article and search pages (LTR and RTL)

• Accessible by design: WCAG AA text contrast on default colours, visible focus rings, skip link and reduced-motion support

• Right-to-left languages (Arabic, Hebrew) supported through logical CSS properties

• Every Help Center template included: home, category, section, article, search, requests, new request, community, profile, service catalog and approvals

• Colours, logo and favicon editable in the Theming Center

• Self-hosted fonts (no Google Fonts request)

• Settings translated in 37 locales; theme copy translated for English, Portuguese and Spanish with English fallback

• No extra JavaScript: the design is pure CSS on top of the standard Help Center scripts

Installation

In Guide admin, open Customize design and import the theme zip. Set your logo and colours in the Theming Center, then publish.

Credits

Built on Zendesk's open-source Copenhagen theme (Apache-2.0) for form and workflow functionality. Design, layouts and styling are original. Fonts under the SIL Open Font License.
